How the Traffic Plan Works

The traffic management plan is designed to balance athlete safety with access for residents, businesses, hotels, medical facilities, and visitors. Rather than closing entire roadways wherever possible, the race will primarily use lane shifts and police-controlled intersections.

Motorists and cyclists will share several corridors using separate lanes. Traffic may be stopped briefly to allow groups of cyclists to pass, but extended closures have been minimized whenever possible.

Emergency Access

Emergency response remains the highest priority throughout the event. Ambulances, fire apparatus, and law enforcement vehicles will receive immediate access at all times. Lincoln County Medical Center will remain fully operational, and race operations may be temporarily paused whenever emergency vehicles need to enter or leave the hospital.

Resident & Business Access

Residents will continue to have access to homes, neighborhoods, hotels, restaurants, churches, and businesses throughout the event. In some locations, alternate routes or brief waits directed by law enforcement may be required.
