ELEVATING THE RACE

Athletes began their race in the waters of Grindstone Lake before taking on a bike course through Ruidoso and toward Hondo, with wide-open vistas and challenging climbs. The run course continued through Midtown and scenic neighborhoods, bringing high-altitude racing, mountain scenery, and an unforgettable finish-line experience to the heart of the village.

Ruidoso’s selection as a host city was no accident. With its outdoor recreation culture, mountain charm, and community pride, the village provided a memorable setting for the 2026 IRONMAN 70.3.
