The Village of Ruidoso is thrilled to announce that our community has been selected to host IRONMAN® 70.3 Ruidoso on July 12, 2026, marking a major milestone in our growing reputation as a destination for world-class endurance events.

Whether you’re lining up at the start or cheering from the sidelines, IRONMAN® 70.3 Ruidoso delivers a high-energy weekend set in Ruidoso’s scenic mountain landscape. Athletes will take on a challenging high-elevation course, while spectators enjoy a festival-style atmosphere throughout the village.

Participants will compete in a 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike ride, and 13.1-mile run, racing through mountain terrain and village streets framed by the Sierra Blanca Mountains. Friends, family, and visitors can follow the action while exploring Ruidoso’s walkable Midtown, local dining, outdoor recreation, and cool summer mountain climate.

Designed as a full weekend experience, IRONMAN® 70.3 Ruidoso welcomes first-time racers, seasoned triathletes, and curious spectators alike.

The event builds on Ruidoso’s growing reputation as a destination for premier endurance sports, alongside the 2026 XTERRA World Championships, and offers an exciting way to experience the community at its most vibrant.
