Fort Fun Day at Fort Stanton Historic Site

Spend a spring day exploring history, art, and culture at Fort Fun Day at Fort Stanton Historic Site. This family-friendly event begins with a flag raising ceremony at 10:00 AM, followed by a guided tour of the historic grounds at 11:00 AM.

At 1:00 PM, join a special museum presentation by Talrick Enjady, a Mescalero/Chiricahua Apache artist whose work reflects storytelling through traditional and contemporary Native art. Raised on the Mescalero Apache Reservation, Enjady shares insight into his creative journey and the cultural influences that shape his work.

After the presentation, enjoy time to explore the site before the day concludes with a flag lowering ceremony at 2:45 PM.

Admission is free for New Mexico residents on the First Sunday of the month, as well as for children 16 and under, NM disabled veterans, foster families, and select members. Non-resident admission is $7 for adults.
