His 1993 self-titled debut album peaked at no. 8 on the Billboard Country Charts bolstered by a staggering four no. 1 singles “What’s it to You,” “Live Until I Die,” and “Dreaming with My Eyes Open.” The hits rolled on and on for the Texas native following his debut with “If I Could Make a Living” in ’94, “Hypnotize the Moon” in ’95, “Rumor Has It” in ’97 and “Live, Laugh, Love” in ’99, all of which peaked inside the Billboard Country top 10.
