Guided by local outdoor experts from Happy Hiker, this free approximately 6K hike offers spectacular mountain views while introducing participants to Ruidoso’s forests, wildlife, and natural landscapes.

Open to XTERRA athletes, families, visitors, and local residents, the hike welcomes a variety of ages and experience levels. Participants should wear appropriate hiking footwear, bring water, and dress for cool morning temperatures.
