One of Ruidoso’s most delightfully chaotic traditions returns this spring as The Long Dog Derby races back into town at Jacks Backstage. The event brings together dachshunds of every size, shape, and personality for an afternoon of racing, laughter, and small-dog determination.
With more than $5,000 in prizes and a packed crowd cheering them on, these speedy pups compete for glory on the track.
Alongside the main race, crowd-favorite contests include:

Registration is $30 per dog, with limited spots available. Registration opens March 23.
