This easy 2.5–3 mile loop explores the scenic Snowy River National Conservation Area, with views of the Sacramento, Capitan, and Vera Cruz mountains.
Learn about the area’s unique cave system, historic frontier fort, and surrounding trails.
Free hike (museum admission $7). Limit 10 participants, no dogs.

Meet: At the Fort Stanton Museum, located at 104 Kit Carson Road, Fort Stanton, off Hwy 220 (Airport Road). If there is enough interest after the conclusion of the hike, we can shuttle to the Fort Stanton Cave entrance about 15 minutes away and discuss the current status of research
