Join the ENMU–Ruidoso Foundation for the unveiling of the Mescalero Fashion Art Project, a commissioned work by artist Lindsey Renea Shakespeare.
This special evening offers a first look at the life-sized installation, which will remain on permanent display at ENMU–Ruidoso. Rooted in Mescalero Apache cultural tradition, the project reflects themes of identity, belonging, and continuity—offering a meaningful presence for students and visitors alike.
Shakespeare will share insights into her work and creative process, offering context for the cultural significance behind the piece. The event also includes refreshments provided by the Ruidoso High School Teepee Lounge and ENMU–Ruidoso Culinary Arts students, along with live music by Jeronico Chee.
An accompanying educational video, produced in collaboration with ENMU–Ruidoso students, will further explore the artwork and the Mescalero Apache Coming-of-Age tradition.
