Celebrate the arrival of spring at the Wingfield Heritage House Museum during Lula’s Garden Family Day on March 14, 2026, from 10 a.m. to noon. This free, family-friendly event honors Lula Robinson Wingfield, a pioneer and builder whose love of the land helped shape one of Ruidoso’s most cherished historic homes.

Inspired by a vintage photograph of Lula in her beloved garden, families are invited to “grow” a little history together through hands-on crafts and creative activities.

Make wildflower seed bombs filled with native New Mexico seeds to plant your own heritage garden. Design pressed flower bookmarks as botanical keepsakes. Craft vintage paper pinwheels inspired by the 1920s and watch them spin in the mountain breeze.

Join the fun at 2813 Sudderth Drive for a morning of history, nature, and community in the heart of Ruidoso. Admission is free and all ages are welcome.
