Step back in time at Fort Stanton Historic Site on Saturday, July 12, from 10AM–2PM during their monthly Living History Day. Enjoy a flag raising ceremony at 10:00, a guided walking tour of the historic cemetery at 11:00 with Interpretive Ranger Javier, and a fascinating 1:00 presentation by Mary Lavin of Smokey Bear Historical Park on the role of fire in Southwest forest ecosystems.
Admission is $7 for adults and free for children 16 and under, NM foster families, disabled veterans, and members of Fort Stanton Inc. and MNMF.
