Join Fort Stanton and Lincoln Interpretive Ranger Amy Hoffman for a fascinating talk on the endangered and threatened wildlife of Lincoln County. From rare plants and fish to birds and the recently listed Peñasco Least Chipmunk (Neotamias minimus atristriatus), Hoffman will explore the unique traits and behaviors of these species, their vital roles in the ecosystem, and why protecting them remains crucial.
Hoffman, who holds advanced degrees in Applied Geography (Zooarchaeology) and Environmental Science, will also highlight ways to restore past landscapes and ensure a healthier future for the region’s biodiversity.
Part of the ongoing Lincoln Lecture Series, this event is included with site admission ($7/adults). Free for children 16 and under, NM disabled veterans, NM foster families, Friends of Lincoln members, and MNMF members.
