Spend the day exploring New Mexico history during Fort Fun Day at Fort Stanton Historic Site in Lincoln County.
This family-friendly event features a full day of activities, demonstrations, and ranger-led programs beginning with a flag raising ceremony at 10:00 AM. Visitors can join a guided tour of the original Post Cemetery at 11:00 AM and attend a special guest lecture and weaving and spinning demonstration by members of High Valley Weaving of Cloudcroft at 1:00 PM in the museum.
Guests are encouraged to explore the grounds throughout the afternoon before the day concludes with a flag lowering ceremony at 3:50 PM.
Admission is free for New Mexico residents on First Sunday, as well as children 16 and younger, New Mexico disabled veterans, New Mexico foster families, Fort Stanton, Inc. members, and MNMF members. Admission for non-residents is $7 for adults.
