AMAZING GRACE is an original touring Broadway musical based on the awe-inspiring true story behind the world’s most beloved song. A captivating tale of romance, rebellion and redemption, this radiant production follows one man whose incredible journey ignited a historic wave of change. Amazing Grace features music and lyrics by Christopher Smith and a book by Smith & Arthur Giron with a cast of 30 singers, dancers, actors and orchestra musicians. The musical is based loosely on the life of John Newton, an English slave trader who later became an Anglican priest and eventually an abolitionist who wrote many evocative hymns, including “Amazing Grace.”
