A 1940s Radio Christmas Carol at ENMU–Ruidoso

  • ENMU-Ruidoso 709 Mechem Drive, Room 201 Ruidoso, NM, 88345 United States (map)

Return to the golden age of radio with A 1940s Radio Christmas Carol, presented by Oso Productions. It’s Christmas Eve, 1943, and WOV Radio in Newark is ready to air its annual holiday broadcast—until the actor playing Scrooge mysteriously vanishes. As wartime rationing, blackout drills, and backstage chaos threaten the show, the troupe rallies with swing-era songs, heartfelt carols, and quick-witted improvisation. What unfolds is a warm, nostalgic, and unexpectedly moving celebration of community, hope, and the magic of storytelling.

Performances will take place on December 12 and 13 at 7:00 p.m., December 14 at 2:00 p.m., December 19 and 20 at 7:00 p.m., and December 21 at 2:00 p.m. at ENMU Ruidoso.
