Exit on Sunport Boulevard west to I-25. Travel south on I-25 to Highway 380 (about 81 miles, 11 miles past Socorro. Sign says San Antonio & Carrizozo). Travel east on Highway 380 to Highway 37 (about 73 miles, 8 miles past Carrizozo. Sign says Nogal & Ruidoso). Travel south on Highway 37 to Highway 48 (about 14 miles). Continue south on Highway 48 into Alto and Ruidoso. Follow Highway 48 (Mechem Drive) to Sudderth Drive and turn left onto Sudderth. The Visitor Center is located at 720 Sudderth Drive.

Exit on Airway Boulevard south to I-10. Travel west on I-10 to Highway 54 (Patriot Freeway). Travel north on Highway 54 to Tularosa (12 miles past Alamogordo; the road curves east in Tularosa and becomes Highway 70. Sign says Ruidoso). Follow Highway 70 through Mescalero-Apache Reservation to Ruidoso. At stoplight turn left onto Highway 48. This is Sudderth Drive. The Visitor Center is located at 720 Sudderth Drive.

Head west on Enterprise Street, turn right on Brice Place. Turn left onto Earl Cummings and continue on to Sunset Place. After approximately one mile turn left onto the Relief Route and travel approximately 5.8 miles. Turn left onto Highway 70 and travel west approximately 67 miles to Ruidoso. Turn right onto Hwy 48/Sudderth Drive. The Visitor Center is located at 720 Sudderth Drive.
